Earl Kinner Hawkins

Earl Kinner Hawkins was born September 15, 1941, in Jackson County, TN, and he passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville at the age of 83.

He was the son of Dillard Vandarn Hawkins and Lillie V. Gentry Hawkins.  He was an aircraft technician with Avco Corp in Nashville for a number of years.  On July 2, 1960, he was married to Norma Joyce Ballard having celebrated 64 years of marriage.  He was a member of the Freewill Church of Christ.

Mr. Hawkins was preceded in death by his parents, brothers:  J V Hawkins, Bill Fred Hawkins, and Ronald Hawkins; sisters: Daffo West, Doyce Smith, Agnes Hogg, Harriett Cofer and Navoy Cassetty.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Hawkins of Cookeville, son, Wayne (Cindy) Hawkins of Cookeville; daughter, Tammy (Eric) Smith of Watertown; grandsons, Conner (Hannah) Hawkins of Cookeville and Eric (Brooke) Breedlove of Lebanon.  Nieces and nephews along with many friends also survive.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 16, 2025, 4-8 pm and Friday 9 am to 11 am at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 11 am in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson, and Bro. Andrew Scott officiating.  Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville.
