Funeral services for Douglas Ray Dyer, 55, of Bloomington Springs, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Byers Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born November 29, 1961, in Jackson County, TN, to the late J.D. Dyer and Myrtle Haney Dyer. He was an auto mechanic, and a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Russell "Corky" Dyer; and 1 Brother in Law: Walter Ray Mee. Survivors include his Loving Mate: Melissa Whitaker of Bloomington Springs, TN; 2 Sons: Kevin Dyer and Douglas Dyer, Jr.; 2 Brothers: Jimmy Dyer and Royce Dyer; 2 Sisters: Shirley Mee and Gayle Hogue; and 5 Grandchildren.
