Funeral services for Mr. Douglas Collier, 90, of Bloomington Springs, Tennessee, will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Douglas Collier Memorial Cemetery in Bloomington Springs, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. - 9 P. M., and Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at his residence. He was born September 6, 1923, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Buddy H. Collier and Clara Burton Collier. He was married to Thelma Aline Collier, who survives. He was a retired farmer, and a member of the Bloomington Springs Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the Mother of his children: Mary Jane Huff Collier; 4 Sons: Johnny B. Collier and 3 Infant Sons; 4 Brothers: Ralph Collier, Garland Collier, Donald Collier, and Braxton "Brack" Collier; 1 Sister: Lena Mae Collier; and an Infant Granddaughter. Survivors include his Wife: Thelma Aline Collier of Bloomington Springs, TN; 2 Sons: Luther Buddy (Arlene) Collier of Bloomington Springs, TN, and Jimmy (Virginia) Collier of Whitleyville, TN; 3 Daughters: Bettie Wandalean (James) Earnest and Elloise Keith, all of Bloomington Springs, TN, and Bonnie (Larry) Meadows of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Brothers: Bobbie Collier and Billie (Linda) Collier, all of Baxter, TN; 1 Sister: Molena Roberts of Carthage, TN; 15 Grandchildren; and 23 Great-Grandchildren.
