Douglas C. Hinson

Funeral services for Mr. Douglas C. Hinson, 58, of Hilham, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, November 16, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in the New Hope community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., Sunday from 1 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Monday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Friday, November 13, 2009, at the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. He was born June 9, 1951, in Overton County, TN to the late Calvin and Mae Qualls Hinson. On April 28, 1973, he was married to Margie Ruth Morgan Hinson, who survives. He was a retired custodian from Tennessee Tech University. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister. Survivors include his Wife: Margie Hinson of the New Hope Community of Jackson County; 2 Sons: Marty (Tammy) Hinson of the New Hope Community of Jackson County and Scottie Hinson and special friend Jennifer and daughter of Delaney of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Tammy (Jamie) Crockett of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Kayla Hinson, Lauren and Emma Crockett; 1 Step-Granddaughter: Leslie Maurer; 1 Step-Great-granddaughter: Trinity Hope Maurer; 1 Sister: Genevie Wright of Rickman, TN; 1 Nephew: Jason Wright of Hilham, TN; and other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends also survive.
