Dorothy "Mimi" Marcy

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy "Mimi" Marcy, 92, of Granville, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John Young Cemetery in the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. and on Sunday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018, at her residence. She was born April 13, 1925, in Bridgeport, CT, to the late Rev. Amos Meade and Bessie Meade. On April 29, 1946, she was married to the late William L. Marcy, who passed away on May 19, 2004. They were married for over 58 years. She was a homemaker, and a Christian lady. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Garry Marcy. Survivors include 3 Sons: Rex Marcy of Granville, TN, Wayne Marcy, and William L. Marcy, Jr.; 10 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; and Gail Hall of Gainesboro, TN, who was loved like a daughter.
