Funeral services for Dorothy M. Ackerman, 67, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2010, at her residence. She was born July 3, 1942, in Fitzpatrick, WV, to the late Charles Delbert Jackson and Chloe Ethel Jackson. She was married to the late John Carlton Ackerman, who passed away July 18, 2007. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Christ Apostolic Assembly. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Jeffery L. Marshall; 3 Brothers: Carl W., Charles C., and John R. Jackson; 1 Sister: Betty L. Thompson; her Step-father: Dennis B. Maddox; and 1 Son-in-law: Gary D. Cook, Jr. Survivors include 2 Daughters: Donna Marie (Billy D.) Bragg of Liberty, KY; and Deborah Kay Cook of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Brothers: George E. Jackson of Beckley, WV and Herbert E. Jackson of Happy Camp, CA; 2 Sisters: Virgie M. Auseon of Canton, Ohio and Erma L. St. Clair of Raleigh, WV; 8 Grandchildren; and 4 Great Grandchildren. Bro. Bobby Ray will officiate at the services.
