Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Jean Johnson, 77, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, February 25, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 P.M. - 8 P. M., and Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. She was born June 2, 1935, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Morgan Mayberry and Nervy Jane Mayberry. She was married to the late Hubert Johnson. She was a housewife, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Willis Cordell Mayberry and Ernest "Jam Up" Mayberry; and 1 Sister: Helen Lackey. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Tammy Lynn Johnson of South Carolina; 1 Son-in-Law: Roy Young of South Carolina; 3 Grandchildren: Earl Franklin Johnson, Justin Lee Johnson, and Ryan Edward Young; 1 Sister: Louise (F.C.) Pruett of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister-in-Law: Katherine Mayberry of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro.
