Doris Wallace Jackson

Doris Ruth Wallace Jackson was born August 7, 1943 in Sparta, TN to John Merrill Wallace and Ollie Robinson Wallace passed from this life on Sunday,  April 19, 2026 after an extended illness.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings,: Don, Freddie, Bill, Howard "Plinky", David, John Douglas, Margaret and JoNelda.

She is survived by her daughters: Katrina (Joel) Conley and Marlania (Jr) Jones, grandchildren: Sarah (Levi) Norris, Joshua Rice, Caleb (Ashley) Rice, Olivia Jones, Joseph (Kendall) Conley and Kayla Conley.  Great grandchildren: Bryleigh, Bray and Kali.  She is also survived by her sister Ann (Denny) Walker and several nieces and nephews.

Doris enjoyed volunteering with the Pink Ladies following her retirement from Centennial Medical Center.  She was an avid sports fan and shared her love of Tennessee Volunteer sports and the Lady Vols with her granddaughters.  Doris was an avid reader and spent many hours at the Putnam County Library.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Doris has chosen cremation with a celebration of life that will be held later this year.
