Doris Martin

Doris Martin was born May 27, 1941 in Jackson County, TN and she passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 82.

Mrs. Doris was the daughter of William Schleeter and Alice Flatt Pippin.  She was a retired factory worker and member of the Center Grove Church of Christ.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hollis Martin who died August 15, 2011; son, Ricky Martin; brother, Eddie Hawkins and nephew, Jason Bohannon.

Survivors include son, Ronnie (Vaneesa) Martin of Bloomington Springs; daughter, Debbie Martin of Bloomington Springs; brother, Harold (Betty) Martin of Gainesboro, sisters, Barbara Bohannon and Jennie Carr both of Cookeville, and Marie Schmitt of Attaca, MI; grandchildren, Ashley Krischel,  Joshua (Ellen) Martin and Jacob (Holly) Martin; great-grandchildren,  Noah Martin, Marshall Hollis Martin and Rosalynd Martin.

Visitation will be on Friday, Dec. 22, 2023, 4-8 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home and Saturday 11am to 2 pm.  Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 pm on Saturday, December 23, 2023 in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Ronald Strong officiating.  Burial will follow in Byers Cemetery.
