Funeral services for Mrs. Dora V. Stafford, 78, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born May 24, 1936, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Frank Tensley Stafford and Willie Flossie Biggs Stafford. On December 2, 1952 she was married to Jack Stafford, who survives. She was a homemaker, and a member of the church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Sam Tensley Stafford; 2 Daughters: Cora Stafford and Catherine Jo Stafford; 1 Brother: Richard Stafford; and 1 Sister: Margaret Ann Cline. Survivors include her Husband: Jack Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: Jackie Stafford and Joseph Stafford, both of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Deborah Stafford (Robert) Henley of Cookeville, TN and Rosemary Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 8 Grandchildren: Jonathan Covington, Laura Covington, Ashley Meadows, Christopher Stafford, Benjamin Hix, Blair Stafford, Zackery Smith, and Andrew Stafford; 7 Great- grandchildren; 2 Brothers: Elbert Stafford of Brush Creek, TN and Willie Stafford of Westmoreland, TN; and 4 Sisters: Mable Mooneyhan of Bowling Green, KY; Gladice Fitz of Alexandria, TN; Cora Willene Dillard of Portland, TN; Cathy Stafford of Portland, TN. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help with funeral expenses by contacting the business office of the funeral home.
