Dora "Crickett" Pippin

Funeral services for Mrs. Dora "Crickett" Pippin, 85, of the Shiloh community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Young Cemetery in the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 P.M. - 9 P. M., and Wednesday from 8 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab - Masters in Algood, TN. She was born December 19, 1927, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Dent Meadows and Dee Hammock Meadows. On July 27, 1943, she was married to the late Hershel C. Pippin, who passed away February 21, 1997. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: William Meadows, Mitchell Meadows, and James Meadows; and 2 Sisters: Betty Brown and Notie Stafford. Survivors include 1 Son: Daniel Wayne Pippin of the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN; 3 Brothers: Tommy (Wanda) Meadows and Junior (Irene) Meadows, all of Bloomington Springs, TN, and Charles Meadows of Baxter, TN; and 3 Sisters: Ruby (Joe) Manier and Evelyn (Kenny) Maynard, all of Cookeville, TN, and Frances Meadows of Bloomington Springs, TN.
