The family has chosen cremation. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 12 Noon until time of services. He passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born December 11, 1945, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Jim Ray Spurlock and Zora Grace West Anderson Spurlock. He was married to the late Ruth Boyd Spurlock. He worked for TRW in quality control. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Kelly Spurlock; and 1 Sister: Margaret Pruett. Survivors include 1 Son: Don Spurlock of Baxter, TN; 7 Grandchildren: Matthew (Candace) Spurlock of Gainesboro, TN, Dylan (Cara) Spurlock of Livingston, TN, Drake Spurlock of Gainesboro, TN, Bethany Flatt of Gainesboro, TN, Brandon Spurlock of Baxter, TN, Cameron Spurlock of Baxter, TN, and Zachery Spurlock of Baxter, TN; 6 Great Grandchildren: Allibeth Spurlock, Bently Flatt, Easton Spurlock, Sophia Spurlock, Kaiden Spurlock, and Arianna Spurlock; and 1 Sister: Sue Jones of Gainesboro, TN.
