Donald Lewis Hensley

Funeral services for Mr. Donald Lewis Hensley, 79, of Bloomington Springs, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Double Springs Cemetery in Putnam County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 Noon - 9 P.M., and Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Hensley passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2009, at Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born June 29, 1929, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Martin Lewis and Sarah Margaret McBroom Hensley. On October 31, 1949, he was married to Toyetta Mitchell Hensley, who survives. He was a factory worker in the automotive industry, and a member of the Bloomington Springs Church of Christ. He also served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Kelly Dawn Hensley; and 4 Brothers: Bill, Ebert, Carl, and Roy Hensley. Survivors include his Wife: Toyetta Mitchell Hensley of Bloomington Springs, TN; 3 Sons: Daniel Lewis Hensley of Cookeville, TN, Donald Wayne Hensley of Bloomington Springs, TN, and Barney K. Hensley of Cookeville, TN; 2 Daughters: Joan Gail Hensley Shillinglaw of Franklin, TN, and Kimberly Ann Hensley Philbrick of Naples, FL; 2 Brothers: Doyle Hensley of Cookeville, TN, and Bobby Hensley of Bloomington Springs, TN; 7 Grandchildren: Blue Matthew Hensley, Brandy Lynne Hensley, Candace Noel Kegeris, Drew Spurlock, Sarah Catherine Shillinglaw, Logan Shillinglaw IV, and Madison Clare Philbrick; and 2 Great-Grandchildren: Addilyn and Grayson Kegeris. Bro. Paul Fox and Bro. Raymond Hensley will officiate at the services.
