Donald Lee Hemstedt

December 29, 1941 – March 13, 2014

Age 72

Donald L. Hemstedt was a hard working family man and an adventurer. He was the self-educated business co-owner of Video Industries of America, a U.S. Government certified welder, and an IBEW #22 journeyman electrician. He flew planes, shot black powder, was a certified SCUBA diver, and a protector of animals. He served God, his country, his family and friends to the best of ability. Those of us who had the privilege to know him will miss him greatly. Don was born on December 29, 1941 and left us March 13, 2014. He was preceded by his parents Forest "Bud" and Marian (Nixon) Hemstedt and his wife of over 50 years, Gloria (Myers) Hemstedt. He is survived by his sister Janice (Hemstedt) Stastny and her husband George, his only daughter Donnell (Hemstedt) Pauly and her husband Ray, and his two granddaughters Raeshell Pauly, Tabetha VanderWoude and her husband Josh. Also nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Donald Hemstedt will be cremated and will remain on his beloved family farm, joined forever with his wife and the many animals they loved. If you wish to honor his legacy please donate either to your local animal rescue or the Antioch Church of Christ in Gainesboro, TN.
