Memorial services for Mr. Donald Gene Morgan, 79, of Hilham, TN, and formerly of Trotwood, OH, will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2017, at 5:30 P.M. at the New Hope Community Church in Hilham, TN. The family has chosen cremation. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday, January 22, 2017, from 2:30 P.M. until time of services. He passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Signature Health Care Center in Algood, TN. He was born March 20, 1937, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Lester Morgan and Katherine Moore Morgan. He was married to Mary Smith Morgan, who survives. He was the owner of Morgan Carpet Cleaning in Trotwood, Ohio, for over 30 years. He was a member of the New Hope Community Church. He loved gardening, woodworking, camping, feeding hummingbirds, and driving the boat to teach many family members how to ski. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Linda Morgan; and 3 Brothers: Austin, Cecil, and Billy Morgan. Survivors include his Wife: Mary Smith Morgan of Hilham, TN; 1 Son: Ronald (Tina) Morgan of Tonopah, Arizona; 2 Daughters: Robin (Bob) Phillips of New Straitsville, OH, and Angela Hicks of Brookville, OH; 5 Grandchildren: Amber (Tyler) Cooper, Dusty, Brielle, Andy, and Boston; 6 Great Grandchildren: Zac, Abi, Ashleigh, Braylon, Timothy, and Logan; 3 Brothers: James (Virginia) Morgan of Hilham, TN, Robert (Virginia) Morgan of Tullahoma, TN, and Clay (Kay) Morgan of Portland, TN; 2 Sisters-in-Law: Estelene Morgan of Hilham, TN, and Linda Morgan of MI; 2 Sisters: Maggie Fetzer of Cookeville, TN, and Louise Collins of Gallatin, TN; and Special Friends: Bob Manley and Kathy Ballard. Bro. Phillip Morgan will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Morgan family by contacting the funeral home.
