Funeral services for Mr. Donald Eugene Allen, 79, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Allentown Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born June 19, 1937, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Lewis K. Allen and Betty Ann Allen. He worked in road construction, and was a member of the Mt. Zion Church of God in White Pine, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Douglas Allen and Clay Allen; and his Best Friend: Ora Allen. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Jeanie (Jeff) Batson of Dandridge, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Zach Batson of Dandridge, TN, Jeff Batson of Dandridge, TN, and Chrystall Wade of Bristol, TN; 3 Brothers: Carl Allen of Gainesboro, TN, Ralph Allen of CA, and Paul (Carolyn) Allen of AL; and 1 Sister: Barbara (Robert) Nemore of Gainesboro, TN.
