Funeral services for Mr. Donald E. Gentry, 93, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 3 P.M. on Friday, October 9, 2015, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 P.M. to 9 P.M. and on Friday from 12 Noon until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at his residence. He was born June 4, 1922, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Averitt Gentry and Romer Dycus Gentry. On January 4, 1969, he was married to Myrtie Gentry, who survives. He was the former owner of Don's Radio and TV, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Jimmy Gentry; 1 Sister: Ethel Brazell; 2 Half-Brothers: Paul and Dale Gentry; and 2 Half-Sisters: Stella and Ruby. Survivors include his Wife: Myrtie Gentry of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Donnie (Theresa) Gentry of Cookeville, TN; 3 Daughters: Joy Wilson of Murfreesboro, TN, Angie Crow of Cookeville, TN, and Tammy Gentry Pennington of Gainesboro, TN; 16 Grandchildren: Billy Wilson, Michael Wilson, Lisa Ashton, Toni Bowman, Terri Collins, Tiffany Gentry Gipson, J.D. Gentry, Delonna Gehring, Andy Dailey, Corey Pennington, Brooks Goans, Blake Goans, Zachary Pennington, Dillon Gentry, Haley Gentry, and Kaylee Gentry; 21 Great Grandchildren; 1 Half-Brother: Robert Gentry of Carthage, TN and 2 Half-Sisters: Gayle Gentry Boyle of Phoenix, AZ and Faye Lynch of Reno, Nevada.
