Donald A. Johnson

Mr. Donald A. Johnson, 73, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2010, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 2 P.M. from the chapel of Anderson-Upper Cumberland funeral home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Birdwell Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 9 A.M. to time of the service. He was born June 28, 1937, in Jackson County, TN, to the late B. M. Johnson and Lassie Birdwell Johnson. He was a truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Glen Johnson and 1 Sister: Wanda Warren. Survivors include 2 Sons: Donald Gus Johnson and Charles Marc Johnosn both of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Daughters: Cheryl Johnson of Gainesboro, TN; Laurie Vagrin of Warren, MI; and Donna M. Affer of Almont, MI; 1 Sister: Sibyl Bouchey of St. Clair Shores, MI; and 8 Grandchildren: Morgan Johnson, Kailey Johnson, Sheldon Johnson, Justin Johnson, Adrienne Vagrin, Marianne Vagrin, Robbie Affer, and Gabriel McKinzie. Pastor Mike White will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the Donald Johnson family by contacting the business office of the funeral home.
