Funeral services for Mrs. Dona Clyde Loftis, 103, of the Roaring River community of Jackson County, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, November 25, 2019, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery in Putnam County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born October 18, 1916, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Davis Allen and Lena Ransom Allen. She was married to the late Oplis J. Loftis, who passed away September 15, 1976. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Morrison Creek Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Sam J. Loftis; 2 Sons in Law: Vernon Morgan and Randall King; 1 Sister: Lora V. Roberts; and 5 Brothers: Lonnie Allen, Lewis Allen, Corda Allen, George Allen, and Leonard Allen. Survivors include 2 Sons: Allan D. (Almedia) Loftis of Livingston, TN, and Milton (Judy) Loftis of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Daughters: Retta (David) Dudney, Ella Morgan, Wanda King, and Harriette (Richard) Mabry, all of Cookeville, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Kelly (Elaina) Morgan, Douglas (Tonya) King, Bradley (Sherrie) Loftis, Dianna (Brett) Reich, and Shawn Mabry; 5 Great Grandchildren: Katie, Kristin, Braiden, Madison, and Cooper; and 1 Sister in Law: Dorothy Allen of MI. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Dow Allen will officiate at the services.
