Don Barnett

Funeral services for Mr. Don Barnett, 68, of Baxter, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, May 28, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Double Springs Cemetery in the Double Springs community of Putnam County. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Monday from 11 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Barnett passed away on Friday, May 25, 2007, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born November 12, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late R.C. and Mattie Barnett. On December 24, 1962, he was married to Sandra Barnett, who survives. He was the owner of D & S Forklift in Baxter, TN. Mr. Barnett served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Union Hill Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents: R.C. and Mattie Barnett. Survivors include his wife: Sandra Barnett of Baxter, TN; 1 Son and Daughter-in-Law: Neil and Dove Barnett of Baxter, TN; 1 Daughter: Donna Barnett of Baxter, TN; 1 Grandchild: Donovan Barnett; and 1 Sister: Dene Reed of Florida. Bro. Charles Maxwell will officiate at the services. Pallbearers: Ken Flatt, Jeff Birdwell, Litton Birdwell, Lester West, William West, and Ronnie Loftis.
