Dois I. Chrisman

Funeral services for Mrs. Dois I. Chrisman, age 83, a resident of Gainesboro, TN, will be held Monday, May 5, 2008, at 2 P.M. at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 Noon - 9 P.M., Sunday from 12 Noon - 9 P.M., and on Monday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Chrisman passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born October 4, 1924, in Jackson County, TN, to the late James (Jim) Ramsey and Clara Henley Ramsey. On August 3, 1944, she was married to Elbert Chrisman, who survives. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Hilham Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Granddaughter: Cynthia R. Brown; and 2 Sisters: Agnes Wray and Jewel Lumpford. Survivors include her Husband: Elbert Chrisman of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Kurt (Lou "Lucy") Brown of Hilham, TN; 1 Daughter: Wilma (James) Kemp of Southgate, MI; 6 Grandchildren: Becky Daley, Ron Brown, Kim Toth, Dan Brown, Sheri Price, and Jimmy Kemp; 2 Brothers: James Ramsey and Hollis Ramsey, both of Gainesboro, TN; and 5 Sisters: Nadene Chrisman and Velcie Johnson, both of Gainesboro, TN, Lassie Oliver of Taylor, MI, Sue Spivey of Rock Island, TN, and Linda Williams of Lebanon, TN. 11 Great- Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren also survive.
