Funeral services for Mrs. Dimple Avo Ballard Noble, 81, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, March 9, 2015, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Hensley Cemetery in the Freewill community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015, at NHC Healthcare in Cookeville, TN. She was born July 12, 1933, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Lex Ballard and Ruth Ballard. She was married to the late Weldon Noble. She was a factory worker at Gaston Corporation in Dayton, Ohio. She was a member of the Church of Christ, and loved listening to music, going to yard sales with friends, and traveling everywhere she could. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Arnold and Loyal Ballard; 3 Sisters: Betty Smith, Vodle Chaffin, and Ava Avannah Mayberry; 1 Daughter-in-Law: Doris Gentry; and 1 Son-in-Law: David Spratt. Survivors include 2 Sons: Kenny (Serena) Gentry of Midway, OH, and Jerry Gentry of Cookeville, TN; and 1 Daughter: Brenda Spratt of Cookeville, TN. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Alan Judd will officiate at the services.
