Dietrich R. Medlin

Funeral services for Mr. Dietrich R. Medlin, 60, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, April 21, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Sam Flatt Cemetery in the Philadelphia community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 - 8 P.M., and on Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Medlin passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2007, at his residence. He was born September 25, 1946, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Vestil Frazier Medlin and Christine Hopkins Medlin. He was a factory worker, and was affiliated with the Philadelphia Church of Christ. Mr. Medlin served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents: Walter S. and Rhoda Flatt Medlin; 1 Sister: Theresse Medlin; and his Maternal Grandparents: Charlie C. and Emma Gipson Hopkins. Survivors include 2 Uncles: Morgan R. Medlin and wife, Evelyn, of Cookeville, TN, and General Lewis Hopkins of Nashville, TN; and 2 Aunts: Beulah M. Flatt of Bloomington Springs, TN, and Vola Roberts and her husband, Albert, of Lenoir City, TN. Several cousins, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Dan Huffines and Bro. Morgan R.
