Diana Flatt Lamons

Diana (Ann) Flatt Lamons passed away after a very courageous fight with ALS. Diana was born to Everette and Onida Flatt. She grew up in Jackson County, TN. and attended Jackson County High School and Tennessee Tech. Throughout the years, she was known by her nickname "Ann". She became a member of the Church of Christ during that time and never changed her religion. She began her career in the financial industry in Nashville, TN in the 1960's and met the gentlemen who became her beloved husband of 45 years and preceded her in death eight years ago. Diana spent most of her career with the Internal Revenue Service holding numerous positions and during that time established many friendships that lasted her entire life. In addition to her husband, John Robert Lamons, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Clarence, Billy, Ray Flatt and sisters Roberta Flatt and Betty Flatt Pergande. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Charles Jeffrey and Christine Nathalie Lamons, grandson John Michael Lamons all of Richmond, Virginia. One brother Carl F. Flatt (Betty), sisters Jodi Scarlett (Harry) and Joyce Wiggins. She has many nieces and nephews and one very special aunt, Lucille Flatt and uncle Oplis "Blackie" Flatt (Marie). Visitation will be at the Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN from 5:00 - 9:00 PM on Friday the 16th and additional visitation time will be from 11:00 A.M. to 12 noon on Saturday the 17th. Services will begin at noon and burial will follow at the Sam Flatt cemetery on Shepardsville Road in Bloomington Springs, TN.
