Delmer "Dale" Allen

Funeral services for Delmer Lee "Dale" Allen, 71, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John Young Cemetery in the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born June 22, 1947, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Cecil Allen, Sr. and Clora Pippin Allen. He worked as a mower operator for the Jackson County Highway Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Cecil Allen, Jr., James Alton Allen, Joe Earl Allen, and Charles Paul "Niff" Allen; and 3 Sisters: Eva Jane Hearld, Georgia Madelle Allen, and Gladys Irene Taylor. Survivors include 1 Brother: Elmer (Debbie) Allen of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister-in-Law: Christine Allen of Cookeville, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro.
