Funeral services for Mrs. Della Mae Halfacre Eagle, 79, of Bloomington Springs, Tennessee, will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Halfacre Cemetery in the Philadelphia Community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 A.M. - 9 P.M., and on Wednesday from 9 A.M until time of services. Mrs. Eagle passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born April 29, 1929, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Thomas and Anne Halfacre. On March 19, 1949 in Angola, IN, she was married to the late James Edward Eagle. She was a retired cafeteria worker at Tennessee Technological University, and a member of the Philadelphia Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Dycus Eagle; 1 Brother: Sherman Halfacre; and 2 Sisters: Clinie Palk and Mary Meade. Survivors include 1 Son and Daughter-in-law: Reece Edward and Judy Eagle of Bloomington Springs, TN; 1 Daughter: Priscilla Anne Long of Cookeville, TN; 7 Grandchildren: Brooklyn (Dustin) Jenkins, Brittney & Austin Eagle, Jason, Michael (Amy) and Bradley Davis, and Trenton Williams; 4 Great-Grandchildren: Addison and Aiden Jenkins, Skylee Davis, and Lora Davis; 1 Sister: Daisy Bailey of Illinois; and 2 Nephews: Earl (Ethel) Palk; and Wayne (Susan) Bailey.
