Funeral services for Mrs. Dawn Leann Meadows, 58, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John Young Cemetery in the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born August 9, 1958, in Detroit, MI, to the late Maurice Potts and Lona Wade. She was married to the late Rickey Steve Meadows, who passed away October 3, 1998. She was a homemaker, and liked playing games, especially backgammon. She loved being with her grandchildren. Survivors include 1 Son: Rickey Meadows of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Daughters: Misty Stafford and Kristy Meadows, both of Gainesboro, TN, and Vickie Sue Meadows of Sparta, TN; 1 Brother: Jason Wade of Detroit, MI; 1 Sister: Sabina Martin of Detroit, MI; and 11 Grandchildren. Bro. Alan Judd will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help with funeral expenses by contacting the funeral home.
