David L. Williams

David Leo Williams was born Sept. 24, 1929 in Scranton, PA and he passed away at the Pavilion in Carthage on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at the age of 96.

David was the son of  Grant Leo Williams and Genevieve Pierson.  He was a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and a Veteran of the US Army. He was a former resident of Cookeville.

David was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Christine Buck Williams who passed away on October 28, 2022; brother, Clarence Williams and sister, Margaret Williams Streader.

Survivors include his son, Jeffrey Williams of Tampa Fl; daughter Julie (Dennis) Murray of Lebanon; grandchildren, Fawne Wilson and Kelley Neaves; great grandchildren, Avaree Wilson, Avionn Wilson, Cole Hild and Kaelyn Hild.  Other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 11:30 am to 12 noon at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
