David Earl Maxwell

Funeral services for David Earl Maxwell, 78, of the Shepardsville community of Jackson County, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, July 5, 2020, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Union Hill - Flatt Cemetery on Shepardsville Road in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Sunday from 1 P.M. until time of services. He passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born December 16, 1941, in Putnam County, TN, to the late Nealy William Maxwell and Georgia O. Coffelt Maxwell. On September 25, 1964, he was married to Linda West Maxwell, who survives. He owned an auto parts store, and was a member of the Union Hill Church of Christ. He also served in the National Guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Donnie Gene Maxwell. Survivors include his Wife: Linda West Maxwell of Bloomington Springs, TN; 1 Sister: Barbara (Joe) Jared of Cookeville, TN; Sisters in Law and Brothers in Law: Judy and Doug Vandiver, David and Linda West, Robert and Carolyn West, Alvin and Nancy West, James and Penny West; Sisters in Law: Helen and Polly; and Special Niece and Nephew: Kurstin and Caleb West. Bro. Kelly Stockton will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Union Hill - Flatt Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.
