Danny "Squirrley" Locke

Danny Joe "Squirrley" Locke was born September 29, 1959 in Jackson County, TN and he passed away on Tuesdays, December 19, 2023 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 64.

Danny was the son of Jim T. and Dorothy Jean Henson Locke.  He was a former employee of Dacco Corp. in Cookeville.  A member of the Church of Christ  he married Penny Lynn Collier on March 3, 1984 for a total of 39 years of marriage.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jack Locke, Landon Locke and David Locke;  sisters, Sandy Spurlock and Debbie Hensley.

Survivors include his wife Penny Locke of Gainesboro; sons, Donnie (Paige) Locke and Danny A. (Lindsay) Locke both of Gainesboro, and Nick Locke of Nashville; daughters,  Makenzie Page of Smithville, Kylie Locke of Nashville, brother, Harold (Rami) Locke of NC; brother-in-law, Richard Hensley of Gainesboro, grandchildren, Macy, Haylee, Mollie, Dannie Brooke, Jordyn, Peyton, Kendal and Ryder.

Visitation will be on Friday 4-8 pm and again on Saturday 8 am to 10 am.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023 in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow in Collier Family Cemetery in Granville.
