Danny L. Stafford

Funeral services for Mr. Danny L. Stafford, 51, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at the Free State Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Danny Stafford Cemetery in the Free State community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12 noon until 9 P.M. On Tuesday the body will lie in state at the Free State Church of Christ from 11 A.M. until time of the services. He passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. He was born September 19, 1959, in Jackson County, TN, to Eugene Stafford and Margaret Stafford. He was a miner for 25 years, and a member of the Lakeview Hills Saddle Club. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents: Henderson Stafford and Cindy Haney Stafford; and his Maternal Grandparents: James and Margie Brown. Survivors include 1 Son: Daniel Gene Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Heather Leigh (Jeremiah) Plemmons of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Allison Taylor Plemmons and Brendon Lee Plemmons; his Parents: Eugene and Margaret Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; the Mother of his children: Alice Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Brother: Bobby Gene Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister: Brenda Faye Peek of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Nieces: Toni Scantland and Amy Avent; and 2 Nephews: Matt and Andy Stafford.
