Dallas Ray Anderson

Funeral services for Mr. Dallas Ray Anderson, 74, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, February 13, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Friday and Saturday from 4 - 9 P. M., and Sunday from noon until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Anderson passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2005, in Gainesboro. He was born March 10, 1930, in Jackson County to Ruby Allen Anderson and the late Oliver Anderson. On September 3, 2001, he was married to Elease Poteet Anderson, who survives. Mr. Anderson was supervisor of a Ryder PIE truck terminal. He was a member of the Tannehill Lodge #133 F&AM in Gainesboro, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers-in-Law: Odell Bybee and Bob Hall. Survivors include his wife: Elease Poteet Anderson of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter: Donna Anderson of Castalian Springs, TN; 1 Granddaughter: Chandra Templeton of Castalian Springs, TN; his mother: Ruby Allen Anderson of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Sisters and 1 Brother-in-Law: Irene & Nelson Yankee of Castalian Springs, TN, Elise Hall of Westmoreland, TN, and Doris A. Bybee of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Don Chaffin will officiate at the services.
