Marshall Dale Scantland was born August 22, 1949, in Gainesboro TN. He passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 74.
He was the son of the late Elmer and Margie Scantland.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Randy Scantland, four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Scantland of Gainesboro, TN; two sons: Chris (Bobbie Jo) Scantland and Stevie (Lisa) Scantland both of Gainesboro, TN; daughter, Rena (Timmy) Jackson of Gainesboro, TN; four grandsons: Robert (Kisha) Allen of Gainesboro, TN; Mikey (Jozie) Allen of Gainesboro, TN, Kendall Scantland of Gainesboro, TN, and Micheal Gabbard of Florida; five granddaughters: Kassy (Jason) Scantland of Smith County, TN, Ashley (Brandon) Frady of Gainesboro, TN, Cylee Maberry of Arkansas,
Taylor (Tyler) Gabbard of Gainesboro, Tn, Summer Gabbard of Gainesboro, TN; six great grandchildren: Waylen, Emma, Brian, Waverley, Myla, and Mailee; one brother: Richard (Wanda) Scantland of Gainesboro and several nieces and nephews.
The family has honored Dale's wishes to be cremated.
