Curtis Ellis

Garry Curtis Ellis was born March 31, 1943 in Jackson County, TN and he passed away at his residence in Gainesboro on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the age of 77. He was born to Gerstle Ellis and Easter Goolsby Ellis. He was a truck driver and a member of the Vine Branch Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Michael and Garry Curtis Ellis, brother, Joe Ellis and sister, Bryan Sells. Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Keith of Baxter; brothers, Champ Ellis of Gainesboro and Billy Ellis of Carthage; sisters, Diane Boles and Peggy Abney both of Gainesboro, Faye Rollins of Georgia and Patsy Gregory of Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Blake Ballard of Cookeville and Gracie Brown of Baxter. Other relatives and friends also survive. Visitation will be Saturday, October 24, 2020 4 to 8 pm and again on Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 11 am to 2 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Sunday, October 25, 2020 with Bro. Jimmy Anderson and Pastor Keith Tosh officiating. Internment will follow in Pharris Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Pharris Cemetery.
