Cortis Lee Craighead

Funeral services for Mr. Cortis Lee Craighead, 72, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 3 P.M. on Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 9 P. M., and on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at his residence. He was born March 30, 1940, in Smith County, TN, to the late Lossie B. Craighead and Berthie C. Craighead. On July 4, 1959, he was married to Elaine Craighead, who survives. He was a retired district manager for Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation. He was an avid sports lover, and a member of the Gainesboro First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his Wife: Elaine Craighead of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Sons: Tracy (Mickey) Craighead of McMinnville, TN; Tony (Ann) Craighead of Cookeville, TN; and Jason (Jennifer) Craighead of McMinnville, TN; 1 Daughter: Patricia Craighead and Sherry Blair of Smyrna, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Zachary, Mary Elizabeth, Makenzie, Katlyn, Kelly, and Casi; 1 Great Grandchild: Carter; and 1 Brother: Paul (Oneita) Craighead of Huntsville, AL. Several nieces, other relatives, and friends also survive. Shirley Ingram, Rev. Russ Cain, and Rev. Kathie Bowles will officiate at the services.
