Cornelia Mundy Wheeler

Funeral services for Mrs. Cornelia Mundy Wheeler, 87, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Thursday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016, at her residence. She was born September 7, 1928, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Charlie Mundy and Mae Hunter Mundy. On August 23, 1947, she was married to the late J. Frank Wheeler, who passed away on July 24, 1995. She worked as a secretary. She enjoyed needlework in her youth and enjoyed cooking and baking for family gatherings. She was an active member of the Gainesboro First Baptist Church, where she served as treasurer. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Ridley C. Mundy and Roy Mundy. Survivors include 2 Sons: Steve (Sylvia) Wheeler of Goodlettsville, TN; and Rick (Debbie) Wheeler of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Grandchldren: Jennifer Wheeler Hendricks of Nashville, TN and Rachel (Bob) Wheeler Raines of Nashville, TN; and 2 Sister-in-laws: Louise Mundy of Gainesboro, TN and Treva Mundy of Jamestown, TN.
