Corey Michael Hamby was born April 12, 1992 in Fairbanks, Alaska and he passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 in Columbia, TN at the age of 32.
He was the son of William Lawrence Hamby and Shirley Maquiling Barbosa-Burnette. He was a restaurant worker.
Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Peggy Smith, Cliff Hamby, Willie Earl Heady and Jewel Hopkins and maternal grandfather.
Survivors include his father, Will (Janet) Hamby of Cookeville; mother, Shirley Maquiling (Benjamin) Barbosa-Burnette of Mexia, TX; brothers, Justin Hamby of Cookeville, Wes Eldridge of Smithville, Nate Eldridge of Cookeville and Jacob Cole of Cookeville; sisters, Hannah Nicole Hamby of- Hermitage and Breeanna Hodge of Cookeville; maternal grandmother, Helene Lynn Montgomery. Other relatives and friends also survive.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 12 noon in the Chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024 from 10 to 12 noon at the funeral home.
