Comer D. (CD) Allen

Comer D. (CD) Allen was born January 27, 1921 in Jackson County, TN and he passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at his daughters residence at the age of 102.  

Mr. Comer was the son of Everett and Mary Flatt Allen.  He was a mason, member of the Burristown Church of God and a US Navy Veteran of WW II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Emogene Gentry Allen and son, Bobby Allen, brothers, Gene Allen, Ray Allen, Perry Allen and Harold Allen and sister, Mildred Dillon.

Survivors include sons, Terry (Helga) Allen of Germany and Ricky Allen of Cookeville; daughters, Brenda (Jimmie) Rhoten of Cookeville and Connie (Charles) Loving of Cookeville; brothers, Richard (Carol) Allen of Gainesboro,   Jimmy Allen of Gainesboro,  Johnny (Jean) Allen of Celina and David Allen of Baxter; sisters,  Jo Helen Ray of Gainesboro, Mary Phillips of Gordonsville, Diane Allen of Gainesboro and Patricia (Phillip) Sullivan of Cookeville; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren also survive along with other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 26, 2023, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be a 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 26, 2023, with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow with full military honors at John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery.
