Funeral services for Clorene Allen, 86, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at 2 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. The family has chosen cremation. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, at her residence. She was born July 29, 1935, in Jackson County, TN, to the late William (Bill) Henry Martin and Emily (Katie) Katherine Hensley. She was married to the late Billy Gene Allen, Sr., who passed away January 10, 1987. She was a caregiver, and attended the Assembly of God. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Billy Gene Allen, Jr.; 2 Daughters: Tammy K. Lynch and Annette Allen; Son in Law: Steve Wright; 9 Brothers; 3 Sisters; and 1 Grandson: Mark Wright. Survivors include 4 Daughters: Brenda (Mackie) Dorris of Nashville, TN, Linda (Hugh) Martin of Gainesboro, TN, Paulette (Frank) Resha of Goodlettsville, TN, and Donna Wright of Joelton, TN; Grandchildren: Chuck Dorris, Shannon Carter, Dana Bannister, Krysta Resha Henson, Kesley Herrman, Jennifer Rai Bright, Oliver Hugh Martin, Jr., Tonya Stearns, Heather Seyer, Amanda Thornton, and Michael Gene Lynch; 28 Great Grandchildren; and 9 Great Great Grandchildren. Bro. Edward Anderson will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital or Shriners Childrens Hospital by contacting the funeral home.
