Graveside services for Mr. Clinton West, 76, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at the New Hope Cemetery in the New Hope community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M. at the funeral home. He passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2010, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born February 20, 1934, in Jackson County, TN, to the late George Buford West and Sarah Avo Stallions West. On April 3, 1954, he was married to Catherine West, who survives. He was a carpenter and retired luthier (musical instrument builder). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Clifton A. West; and 2 Sisters: Cleo West and Abby Jewell West. Survivors include his Wife: Catherine West of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter: Sarah Ann (David T.) Webb of Cookeville, TN; 2 Sisters: Clide Bull of Hilham, TN, and Catherine West of Hilham, TN; 3 Nieces and 1 Nephew in Michigan; and 1 Niece in Florida. Other relatives and multitudes of friends also survive.
