Funeral services for Mr. Clifton F. Long, 80, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at his residence. He was born July 27, 1936, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Malcolm Long and Bertha Long. He was a former Jackson County Deputy Sheriff, and served in the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Brian Long; and 2 Sisters: Peggy Scott and Pearl Smith. Survivors include 2 Sons: Ray Long of Red Boiling Springs, TN, and Steve (Ruthie) Long of Gainesboro, TN; 11 Grandchildren: Jeffery Long, Jason Long, Crystal Curtis, Candy Long, Brittany Long, Alisha Long, Faith Long, McKenzie Long, Steve Long, Jr., Michael Long, and Alan Long; 12 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Sister: Nancy Scott of Gainesboro, TN.
