Cliff Thomas Binkley, Jr., age 69, of Cookeville went home to be with his Jesus on January 13, 2023 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN with his wife of 33 years and family at his side.
He was born on May 2, 1953 in Davidson County, TN, to the late Cliff Thomas Binkley, Sr. and Jeraldean Luster Binkley of White House, TN. On November 17, 1989, he was married to Golda Young Binkley, who survives. He was a loving husband and a member of the Church of Christ since the age of 16.
He loved his grandchildren, and all the little kids loved playing with Cliff. He was a commercial printer for over 55 years, and had his own newspaper called the Joelton Eagle when he was 12 years old. Cliff was a comedian who loved everyone and kept his family in stitches.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Brother: Hardy Preston Binkley.
Survivors include his Wife: Golda Young Binkley of Cookeville, TN; Son: Robert (Hannah) Franklin of Knoxville, TN; Sisters-in-law: Maelene Webb and Terri Young, both of Cookeville, TN; Brothers: Alexander Binkley and John Binkley, both of Cullman, AL; Grandchildren: Everly and Tyler Franklin, both of Knoxville, TN; Special Great Niece and Nephew: Brooklyn and Braylon Warden; Longtime Friend: Paul Wilson; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Dodson Branch Cemetery in Jackson County, TN. Visitation will be Sunday from 11 A.M. until time of services. Bro. Ronnie Dunn will officiate.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Alive Hospice by contacting the funeral home.
Nephews, brothers, and cousins will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers: Robert Franklin, Everly Franklin, Tyler Franklin, Holly Warden, Braylon Warden, Jacob Taylor and Paul Wilson
