Funeral services for Mrs. Claudine Meadows Cassetty, 92, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, March 29, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Monday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born July 16, 1917, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Robert Lee and Edna Shoulders Meadows. On April 21, 1935, she was married to the late Johnnie E. Cassetty, who passed away February 15, 1986. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Stone Church of Christ. She was a former chairman of the Charles Ralph Holland Library Board of Directors. She was also a Jackson County delegate of the 1959 State Constitutional Convention. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Robert W. Cassetty; 1 Brother: Robert L. Meadows, Jr.; and 2 Sisters: Katherine M. Cassetty and Ruth M. Childress. Survivors include 5 Sons: David (Judy) Cassetty, Sam Cassetty, George (Pat) Cassetty, and Bill Cassetty, all of Gainesboro, TN, and Charles (Jane) Cassetty of Crossville, TN; 2 Daughters: Sarah Willis and Connie (Bob) Gerregano, all of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter-in-Law: Cindy Lim Cassetty of Cookeville, TN; 10 Grandchildren: John Cassetty, Susan (Curtis) Putnam, Melissa (Tom) Vance, Terri Petersen, Chris (Tina) Cassetty, Beth (Mark) Smith, Cynthia Claudine Ivey, Sean (Meichelle) Willis, Dolly Gerregano, and David Gerregano and wife, Sohnia Hong; 19 Great-Grandchildren: Matt, Luke, and Caleb Putnam; Jake and Logan Vance; Erik, Jacqueline, and Anna Petersen; Christina, Jonathan, and Benjamin Cassetty; Marcus, Danielle, and Alex Smith; Brett and Leah Willis; Andrew Riddle; Olivia and Daniel Gerregano; 2 Brothers: Jack (Anne) Meadows of Gainesboro, TN, and Tom (Maxine) Meadows of Louisville, KY; 1 Sister: Brown Felker of Hudson, OH; 1 Sister-in-Law: Navoy Cassetty of Gainesboro, TN; and Special Friends: Martha Spivey, Jack and Chris Johnson. Bro. Mike Dyer and Bro. David Flatt will officiate at the services.
