Clarence "Gene" Johnson

Funeral services for Mr. Clarence Eugene "Gene" Johnson, 74, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 P.M. - 9 P. M., and on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012, at his residence. He was born November 10, 1937, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Luther Johnson and Annie Huff Johnson. He was a retired business owner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Comer Johnson and an infant brother; and 1 Daughter: Roxanne Johnson. Survivors include 1 Son: Steve and Chevelle Johnson of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Jeret Goad, Lindsey Goad, and Dallas Johnson; 1 Brother: Joe and Katherine Johnson of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sisters: Nell and George Williams of Gallatin, TN, and Martha and Richard Mansell of Virginia; and 1 Sister-in-Law: Virginia Phillips of Jackson County, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Dan Huffines will officiate at the services.
