Clarance "Cotton" Flatt

Funeral services for Mr. Clarance Louis "Cotton" Flatt, 84, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, January 10, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Flatt Cemetery on Flynns Creek Hwy. in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11 A.M. - 9 P.M., and Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, January 6, 2014, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born January 5, 1930, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Boyd Lee Flatt and Eula Louise Flatt. He was married to Sara Flatt, who survives. He was a factory worker at Ford Motor Co. He was a member of the Long Branch Community Church in Gordonsville, TN, and a former member of the Church of God of Baxter, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Diane McDonald; and 2 Brothers: Billy Flatt and Erman C. Flatt. Survivors include his Wife: Sara Flatt of Cookeville, TN; 1 Son: Donnie Flatt Lenox of Peoria, IL; 6 Daughters: Wanda (Ron) Flatt Horton of Peoria, IL, Denny Klausing of Peoria, IL, Sandy (David) Braves of Peoria, IL, Connie Vanderhedin of Peoria, IL, Pennie (Johnny) Dyer of Gainesboro, TN, and Shelia (Mark) Hammock of Cookeville, TN; 17 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren; 1 Brother: Herman D. Flatt of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister: Thelma Petty of Gainesboro, TN. Bro. Kenneth Anderson and Bro. Mark Miller will officiate at the services.
