Funeral services for Mrs. Clara B. Hargis, 99, of Granville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Granville Cemetery in Granville, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Tuesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Hargis passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2007, at the Mabry Health Care & Rehab Center in Gainesboro, TN. She was born September 28, 1907, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Tom and Alta Burgess Hargis. She was married to the late Matt H. Hargis, who passed away October 20, 1972. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Chestnut Mound Church of Christ in Smith County, TN. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Clyde C. Hargis and Tommy Hargis; and 3 Sisters: Ethel Fields, Lizzie Wade, and Nellie Rice. Survivors include Special Friends: Doug & Thelma Collier of Bloomington Springs, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
