Graveside services for Christine McCoy, 79, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2021, at 1 P.M. at the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County, TN. There will be no visitation or services at the funeral home. She passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born April 13, 1941, in Oakdale, TN, to the late Auther Powers and Mamie Simpson Powers. On April 13, 1964, she was married to the late Charles McCoy, who passed away December 24, 2008. She worked as a window cleaner, and was retired. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: JC Powers and Raymond Powers; and 3 Sisters: Inez Jones, Ella Mae Melton, and Zella Ruth Clark. Survivors include 4 Sons: Scott (Donna) McCoy, Danny (Lisa) McCoy, Chuck (Francis) McCoy, and Dwain (Judy) McCoy; 2 Daughters: Anita Gunter and Debbie Gunter McCoy; 3 Brothers: Wayne Powers, Lawrence (Linda) Powers, and Glen (Sherry) Powers; 3 Sisters: Opal Steele, Nina Powers, and Nona Burgess; 15 Grandchildren; several Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. Isaac Daniel McCoy will officiate at the services.
