Christine Allen

Christine Allen was born February 17, 1939 in Jackson County, TN and she passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at her residence at the age of 84.

She was the daughter of Otha B. Haney and Leola V. Haney Manier.  She was the owner and operator of Allen's Market for 56 years.  She was a member of the Church of Christ and a resident of the Shiloh Community.

Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Cecil Allen, Jr. who passed away on May 16, 2004, son, Gary Dale Allen, daughter, Gale Thompson, sister, Pauline Haney.

Survivors include her sons, Michael (Debbie) Allen and Steve Allen both of Cookeville; brother , Terry Haney of Whitleyville; grandchildren, Casey (Aaron) Dickerson,  Jesse (Teia) Allen, Matt (Caitlan) Allen, Brian Hamby and Bo Hamby; great grandchildren,  Haylee, Eli, Jake, Rhett and Millie.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 4, 2023, 11 am to 3 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at 3 pm on Monday in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow in John Young Cemetery in the Shiloh Community.

Pallbearers will be, Matt Allen, Jesse Allen, Brian Hamby, Bo Hamby, James Hix, Chuck Haney, Dwayne Haney, David Ward
