Funeral services for Mrs. Chris Johnson, 86, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M., and on Thursday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Heritage Pointe in Cookeville, TN. She was born November 25, 1928, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Baugh and Ara Chaffin Smith. On December 28, 1948, she was married to Jack Simpson Johnson, who survives. She was a medical records technician. She was a member of the Collegeside Church of Christ, and a former member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Roy Smith and Ralph Smith; and 2 Sisters: Evelyn New and Rosalyn Smith. Survivors include her Husband: Jack Simpson Johnson of Cookeville, TN; 2 Sons: Jerry Johnson of Vancouver, British Columbia, and Don (Laura) Johnson of Cookeville, TN; 2 Daughters: Jacquelyn Haynes of Cookeville, TN, and Lisa Johnson of Cookeville, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Scott Haynes, Brooke Matthews, Paige Smith, Grey Johnson, Lindsey Russell, and Olivia Hammons; 1 Brother: Herbert Smith of Cookeville, TN; 2 Sisters: Pauline Roberts of McMinnville, TN, and Betty Law of Cookeville, TN; and 9 Great Grandchildren. Bro. Johnny Fox and Bro. Wayne Wells will officiate at the services.
