Funeral services for Mr. Charlie Colonel Apple (Mr. C.C. Apple), 99, of Baxter, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Brown Chapel Cemetery on Dry Fork Road in Granville, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 8 P. M., and Tuesday from 11 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born December 20, 1913, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Robert Nelson Apple and Sarah Elizabeth Presley Apple. He was a farmer, and a member of the Double Springs Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the Mother of his children: Frances Charlene Apple; his Wife: Margaret S. Apple; 1 Daughter-in-Law: Jelema G. Apple; 2 Sons-in-Law: Ronnie G. Allison and Robert D. Moles; 7 Brothers: Bedford Apple, Walter Apple, Tom Apple, James Marlin Apple, Clarence Apple, Fred Donald Apple, and J. Homer Apple; 3 Sisters: Ina Vinson, Anna Harris, and Eliza Ragland; and 1 Step-Grandson: Steve Norred. Survivors include 1 Son: James E. Apple of Baxter, TN; 2 Daughters: Elizabeth Ann Moles of Hermitage, TN, and Carolyn Apple Allison of Mt. Juliet, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Tommy Dale (Regina) Apple of Cookeville, TN, Stephen (Jill) Moles and Dale (Jean Marie) Moles, all of Nashville, TN, Billy (Jennifer) Clemmer of Hermitage, TN, Jason (Becky) Allison and Tammy (David) Stanfield, Jr.; 2 Step-Grandchildren: Ashlee and Ray Cobble; 16 Great Grandchildren: Tess, Carter, Hardison, Mary Ann, Trey, Matthew, Nathan, Zachary, Charlie, Mary Jean, Autumn, Gabi, Emma, Luke Thomas, Tyler, and Lacey; and 1 Step-Great granddaughter: Bailea O'Brien.
